GAS GATHERING AND PROCESSING

The global production of natural gas is on the rise as it continues to gain market share as a primary source of power. To ensure it meets the necessary specifications for marketable natural gas, the gas undergoes treatment during the production process.

Feed gas compressors play a crucial role in maintaining the operational pressure of gas processing plants. Various processes are employed to treat natural gas, ensuring it is refined and ready for market use.

GAS PROCESSING ON FPSO AND FLNG

Many gas fields have been discovered in deep-sea areas, leading to the construction and planning of numerous floating production and storage (FPSO) units. During the production process, natural gas must be treated to meet marketable specifications.

Various processes are applied to treat the natural gas:
  • Condensate removal (flash gas compressor, off gas compressor)
  • Acid gas, mercury, and water removal (regeneration gas compressor)
  • Sour gases like CO₂ and H₂S are re-injected by gas injection compressors at high pressures.
  • Natural gas is fed to the onboard power plant by fuel gas compressor solutions.

Adson Compressor’s solutions are designed to comply fully with the demanding marine and gas processing requirements of FPSOs and FLNGs.Offerings include complete turn-key installations, engineered packages, or bare shaft compressors.

Our In-house capabilities include:
  • Compressor design and sizing
  • Pulsation and vibration studies
  • Plant engineering
  • Instrumentation and PLC programming

With over 50 years of experience, Adson Compression sets industry standards for valve and sealing technology.

Expertise ensures the selection of ideal components for the longest mean time between overhauls (MTBO) of compressors operated on FPSOs.

Results in maximized uptime of gas processing plants and maximized gas production.
